Sunset Beach Resort and the Rotary Club of Cape Charles will host an Eastern Shore Style Oyster Roast from 3pm-7pm, featuring some of the finest oysters & clams on the east coast. Tickets include roasted & steamed oysters, steamed clams & clam chowder, all provided by Eastern Shore Events & Rentals. Proceeds will benefit local Eastern Shore community organizations, including New Roots Youth Garden, and the Rotary Foundation’s work to change lives both close to home and around the world.

Cape Charles is proud of its water-men! Join us in paying homage to those lost at sea and to celebrate those who continue to put local seafood on our table. At 6 p.m. the ceremony begins — Presentation of Colors, Thanksgiving for Seafarers, Blessing of the Fleet, Throwing the Wreath and Cannon Salute. The celebrating continues at 6:30 with live music by the Kasey Rae Band at the Shanty.

The Cape Charles Historical Society will hold its traditional Low Country Shrimp Boil on Garden Day at the Cape Charles Museum. The menu features the famous Alabama shrimp boil recipe — shrimp cooked with red potatoes, special “Old Timer” smoked sausage shipped in from Alabama, corn on the cob, onions and peppers.
